In order to shake off the “family friendly” yoke that the Chiang Rai Hash has had to suffer for nearly 10 years, this Friday will mark the start of the no-holds barred, adult friendly hash. And what better way to do it than after dark - so the hash will start at 7pm! All runners, joggers and walkers of drinking age welcome to join in the fun for a 6-7 km run/walk on dirt roads and trails outside of the city. Raunchy songs, tasteless jokes and drinking will all be encouraged.
Meet at Rico’s Bar (19.907563°, 99.824194°) near Chiang Rai Condotel at 6:45 p.m. The songthaew will leave at 7 pm sharp. The cost is 150 baht which includes transport to and from the bar to the trailhead, LOTS of alcohol and snacks. A cheap way to start your Friday night!
Bring a flashlight (or two), a change of clothes (and an umbrella if it looks like rain.) T-shirt, shorts, walking/running shoes are best for the hash.
